Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Crochet Flower Pendant

SAKURA CROCHET FLOWER JEWELRY PENDANT

I already came up with a cherry blossom flower pattern!  This flower I designed has two little picots on each petal which looks like the favorite way cherry blossoms are drawn. I’ve also sewn seed beads on the center, to boost its 3 dimensional look. It’s really simple and easy to make.

This pattern requires micro crocheting skills. You can also use this pattern to make flower appliques instead. It’s perfect for making crochet jewelry, you can make it a necklace, bracelet, ring or a pair of earrings. You can also starch the finished flower if you want stiffer pendant.

The materials I used are the following:

▪ DMC Cordonnet Special Thread No. 80 in Blanc

▪ 0.5mm crochet hook

▪ needle (for weaving ends)

▪ seed beads

▪ fabric dye

▪ scissors

▪ jewelry pliers (flat nose, long nose, cutting)

▪ stainless steel ear post

▪ necklace chain, with lobster lock & jumpring

▪ strong hold glue

Here are some of the photos of the cherry blossom flower:

I needed to use fabric dye because I used a white crochet thread, you can use a light pink colored thread for making these.

You can use this as a pendant for a necklace or for bracelets, or you can also make two flowers, add an ear post, and turn it into a pair of earrings.
